Clara B.
Zimmer

Clara B. Zimmer is a Berlin-born cinematographer whose path to the camera was forged through years of working at the heart of world-class productions. She began her career as an editor, completing an apprenticeship from 2017 to 2020 and cutting commercials for Puma, Coca-Cola, and Germany's Next Topmodel.

A pull toward narrative led her to work as an editing assistant on The Matrix Resurrections, before she transitioned fully to the camera department as a 2nd AC and Camera Trainee. In those years she worked alongside crews on productions including 1899, The Hunger Games, and Nine Perfect Strangers, as well as a wide range of international commercials.

She then turned her eye to her own work — shooting music videos and short films that earned recognition at festivals across Europe and North America. She has since been accepted to the National Film and Television School to study cinematography.
